Customer Review: Bought 2 in December and liked the phone so much, just bought another
Excellent 2-line cordless phone. I bought two about a month ago mainly because of various reviews. So far I’m very satisfied with the phones. I bought another to replace my AT&T AT 1412 (2-line) cordless that I’m happy to retire, it’s a lousy cordless. The Panasonic is easy to program and the sound is very good, specially when using the speaker phone. The speaker phone audio is SUPER. The other party doesn’t know when I’m using the speaker phone. One can be 10 feet from the cordless and the other party can still clearly make out what your saying. Most cordless phones come with a belt clip as does the Panasonic, but it also comes with a Shoulder Rest attachment. I’ll probably never use the shoulder rest because the speaker phone audio is that good, never the less most others do not include this option. It’s desk or wall mountable. I’m going to knock on wood when I say that I have owned a number of Panasonic products over the years and never have had one fail me. My only complaint with Panasonic is with their TH37PX60U 37″ Plasma TV. The TV is great but I detest the remote. They swapped the position of the Channel and Volume buttons putting the Channel button on the LEFT. I have never seen a remote with the Channel on the LEFT and I go nuts when I move from room to room to view different TV’s. It’s just DUMB, 180 degrees out of phase with the rest of the world.

This phone is easy to install and simple to use. It mated perfectly with the standard phone company-installed wall mount panel. Reception is clear. You do have to take some care in replacing the handset on the phone as the handset hook retainer is somewhat small.

I’m very pleased with this phone… it is well-built and of good quality. The line selector buttons are large and easy to push. There are two distinctive rings for the 2 phone lines so you know which one is ringing. Ideally the phone would also have a caller ID screen but at this price I’m happy. It is very difficult to find corded two-line phones these days.
I mounted this one on the wall in a snap…it works nicely as a wall or a desk phone.

This phone is great. Love the phone book and have stored all of my most called numbers and then some. Love the fact that it is a safe phone and not like the cordless phones that most people use. Everyone should do research and find out about all of the negative reasons not to have cordless phones in your home.

The phone seems to be a good one but its main drawback is the visual message panel that is nearly impossible to read because it is so dim. It has levels of adjustment but even on the brightest setting it can hardly be read. So much for caller ID etc.

Customer Review: Forget about wall-mounting this one
I bought this phone specifically because it can be wall-mounted. While the base is designed to fit onto a telephone wall plate, the wiring is not. Contrary to the instuctions, there is no way to fit the wires “behind the base unit” and still get it to mount on the wall. To do this, I will have to buy a special short cable, which AT&T should have included with the unit. More cost, a lot of hassle. Sound quality is very good. But forget about mounting this one on the wall easily.
Customer Review: A frustrating start with charging batteries
I bought this cordless telephone system through a marketplace merchant(since Amazon themselves wouldn’t be able to supply this model until 2 month from now)
Despite installing the batteries correctly, and trying to charge the 3 handsets for a day(with the red power indicator on, and the display reading “Charging”), two of the three handsets still indicated “Low Battery”, and the third handset’s display didn’t display anything, despite the fact that the red power indicator is on when the handset was in the base. Ultimately, for 2 of the 3 handsets that I struggled with, it took two and a half days of charging before the handsets would illuminate and operate properly. The supplied rechargable batteries had been supplied in an extremely depleted state, despite the factory seal on the carton.
The phone system seems simple to use, and is working fine now, despite an extremely frustrating start. I would change the number of stars awarded to 3 stars, but Amazon’s system to revise my review won’t permit me to.

Customer Review: Great for Grandma
My 95 year-old Grandmother has a hard time hearing to put it lightly. Even when she remembers to put in the hearing aids, it’s still a struggle. This amplifier works wonderfully! And, it’s MUCH cheaper than buying a whole new phone. Set-up was simple (just plug it in), and it’s very easy to operate (just set it where volume is comfortable, and do nothing else!) Now Grandma can understand was when we call. It’s amazing. I would highly recommend it!

Customer Review: Something is REALLY wrong with this phone
I bought this phone without reading the Amazon.com reviews. Big mistake. If I had read the reviews from people in the boat that I’m now in, I would never have bought this phone. So that someone may benefit from my mistake, please do not buy this phone. Ever.
Sure, it looks pretty. The major problem, which is a deal-killer, is that the sound quality is horrific. It hisses, crackles, and pops so loudly you cannot hear the person on the other end of the line. And it’s clearly this phone, because the noise starts the minute you start dialing. And it’s not a distance issue, because it happens whether you are right next to the base, 10 feet away, 20 feet, it doesn’t matter.
Hey Uniden guys, you in the R&D department, get right on this one — why not make a phone that renders the voice connection audible and intelligible? That would really be great. It certainly isn’t this phone.

Customer Review: Best Corded Speakerphone for the Money
Looking or a good quality single line corded speakerphone/answering machine - this it it. The only “con” with this phone is that it lacks a battery backup to protect stored phone numbers - not an issue for my application since I power the unit through the office computer’s UPS.

Customer Review: Cordless DECT 6.0 GE 27909
The cordless DECT 6.0 Stainless-Steel-Finish Handset (GE 27909) is a great looking telephone. It comes in two finishes, Stainless-Steel and Black. The reason why I gave it a rating of two is the over all quality ,other than appearance, needs some attention, such as Battery Installation Instructions, Battery installation not to friendly, remote base to flimsy, defective product right of the box and no phone support.
The instruction of installating a battery needs to be stated (hacked up cover on base unit to pry cover lose until found out that the cover has to be slid upward while pushing button at bottom of phone.)
The installation of the battery has to be reconsidered (PUSHING BUTTON AT BOTTOM OF HANDSET AND SLIDING COVER UPWARD is not to easy).
Remote base needs some weight to be more stable when inserting remote handset or grab the remote base same time when inserting romote handset into base or last resort screw remote base into furniture, lol.
Purchased two DECT 6.0 Stainless-Steel-Finish Handset phones, one bad.
No phone support.
Other then the GE 27909, Amazon did an excellent job on the return.
Looking forward to buying from Amazon again.
Customer Review: Don’t waste your time on this product.
I could not get this handset to register with my base phone, which means it will not work. I went on line & found out many other people had the same problem. After many attempts to register this handset with my base phone I decided to call the technical support line. Although I was calling a Texas phone number, I’m pretty sure the call went to India. The delay was annoying & the operator repeated the directions from the manual. Not helpful in the least! I finally decided to return the handset to Amazon.com & they are even reimbursing me for all the shipping charges I incurred returning it. I would not recommend this product to anyone!

Customer Review: another good Panasonic phone
We own two Panasonic KX-TSC14 landlines that work and sound great. We had a 10 year old Panny 900 MHz that we wanted to replace because we were moving from a house in the county to a downtown condo. We wanted improved cordless security with less potential wirelss interference since we were moving to a high living density area.
The KX-TG9391T is exactly as pictured: one landline base unit with on-board answering machine plus one cordless handset requiring only an electrical outlet. Up to 5 or 6 handsets can be added (more than enough for most of us). I use Comcast cable for my phone service and use their voicemail so can’t comment on the Panny on-board message machine.
My primary concern was voice quality because I have hearing issues. I am happy to report that the voice quality on both landline and cordless handset are very good. Otherwise it acts very much like my older Panny phones except there is phonebook dialing instead of formal speed dial. Just enter the data in the phonebook (like a name called “Voicemail” and the phone number); then scroll down and pick up the landline receiver or press call on the cordless handset. It seems to work like a speed dial even though I can’t find the word “speed dial” in the instruction book.
I think the cordless feels lightweight but I just finished a 1 hour conversation to my friend who lives beyond cell phone or broadband and the phone was comfortable and voices were clear. The cordless is much easier to use and feels more substantial than any cell phone I have used so I can’t really say the Panny handset feels “cheap”. Compared to our 10 year old Panny cordless, it felt similar except the new handset is smaller partly because there is no bulky antenae.
The other features I need like speakerphone, easy to read letters & numbers, caller and call waiting ID, and the 2nd line for a fax are great. You can set up the phone so the handset answers when you lift it out of the cradle or when you hit the talk button like a cell.
The Amazon photo is a little deceiving because the landline actually sits at an angle to make it easier to read the display. Doing this makes it narrower front to back. But with the receiver on the left and the answering maching plus display on the right it seems a bit wider (like a landscape setting instead of portrait). It also has internal paging, night settings, and the usual setup features.
I am glad I bought it…so far. Only time will tell how if it is half as durable as my old Panny cordless. I want to thank others for getting it and reviewing it on Amazon. Let’s help each make the manufacturers give us decent electronics. Now, if you will please excuse me, I am going be lazy and order another handset for the bedroom. Maybe in the future, we might add a handset for the kitchen too.
